Your business data is used to run your schedule—not to market to your customers.
This policy explains the information RouteRoutine handles when businesses and their employees use the service.
Last updated July 17, 20261. Scope
RouteRoutine is a business-to-business scheduling service. This policy applies to RouteRoutine websites, applications, and related support. The business that creates a RouteRoutine workspace controls the customer and job information its users add to that workspace.
2. Information we process
Account and organization information
We process names, email addresses, organization membership, roles, authentication events, and session information needed to create and secure user accounts.
Business content
Users may add customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, service locations, access instructions, service descriptions, prices, schedules, employee assignments, visit statuses, completion notes, and completion photos.
Technical information
We and our infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, request timestamps, security events, diagnostic logs, and essential cookies or similar technologies needed for authentication, fraud prevention, and service operation.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot RouteRoutine.
- Authenticate users and enforce organization roles and permissions.
- Store schedules, customer records, visit history, notes, and photos.
- Respond to support, privacy, and security requests.
- Prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and comply with applicable law.
- Understand service reliability and improve product functionality.
RouteRoutine does not use customer phone numbers or email addresses to contact, advertise to, or market to a business’s customers.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- To service providers, including WorkOS for authentication and Cloudflare for application hosting, database storage, file storage, security, and delivery.
- At the direction of the business that controls the workspace, including to authorized employees.
- To comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests, or to protect users, RouteRoutine, and others.
- In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
5. Data ownership and responsibility
Businesses retain ownership of the content they submit. Each business is responsible for having an appropriate reason and any required permission to enter customer information and upload photos. RouteRoutine processes that content to provide the service and follow the business’s instructions.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain workspace content while the account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or records required by law. Workspace administrators may request account data correction, export, or deletion by contacting us. We may verify the requester’s identity and authority before acting.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. These include authenticated access and organization-level authorization. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and rights
Account users can update certain information through the service. Depending on location, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Customer-data requests may need to be directed to the business that entered the information because that business controls the workspace.
9. Cookies and analytics
RouteRoutine uses essential session technologies required to sign users in and keep accounts secure. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.
10. Children
RouteRoutine is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. Users may not intentionally submit information about children unless it is lawful, necessary for legitimate business operations, and permitted by the Content Policy.
11. International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where RouteRoutine or its service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection rules different from the user’s location.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, when appropriate, an in-product or email notice. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@routeroutine.com.
